Meet Anthony

For over 10 years, Anthony Basinger has immersed himself in the art and science of superior hair care. Prior to opening his own salon in late 2009, Anthony was a top stylist at Festoon Salon in San Francisco and Berkeley, where he became known for his personal attention and belief in creating hairstyles that fit with clients’ lifestyles.

Constantly active in expanding his professional knowledge, he has traveled around the world to participate in workshops and classes by Vidal Sassoon, L’Oréal, Bumble and Bumble, and the Alexandre de Paris Academie in France. In 2008, he was awarded a trip to attend the L’Oréal World Tour in Paris. He has also taught haircutting to emerging stylists as an instructor in Festoon’s apprentice training program.

A native Texan, Anthony has called the Bay Area home for 15 years. His greatest passion is motorcycling, and he frequently takes long trips, always choosing the “scenic route” and exploring backroads. Before his career in hair, he spent a decade as a professional chef and has also written for magazines and worked in marketing and public relations. His breadth of life experience helps him relate to and respect the individual needs of his clients.
